Hermosa Tortuga is the nonprofit organization started by local Hermosa Beach sisters. After visiting various turtle sanctuaries in the Caribbean, Maya, Thea, and Ella Welch were inspired by the conservation efforts of locals, leading them to desire to do more.

Armed with their cameras, a love for sea turtles, and a strong sense of determination, the Welch sisters have made it their mission to help the world’s dwindling sea turtle population.
